I have a question for everyone today.

It’s a completely serious, perfectly valid, totally legitimate, and one hundred percent real question. I kid you not when I tell you with a straight face that I don’t understand why this is required. Literally millions of people are presented with this problem every single day, and they go along with it without even thinking about why they’re doing it. Me, I think about it every time I’m in an airport.

Here’s my question, and remember, I honestly don’t see why this is so important:

Why the (insert expletive here) do I have to keep liquids I’m going to carry onto the airplane under 3.4 ounces?

It makes no bloody sense whatsoever. Cheers to anyone who can give me an answer.
